GGA Challenge #22 - Home of the Braves!

  • Challenge Period: Monday 10/25/21 to Sunday 11/7/21
  • Deadline for Submitting Proof: Wednesday 11/10/21 by 11:59 pm
  • Points Apply to: December drawing with prizes awarded at the January event

How about those Braves?  As they head to the World Series let’s root root root for the home team!

This challenge will be all about projections. Using your home base, determine the projection of caches either using project-gc https://project-gc.com/Tools/360home or a good old fashioned protractor. I’m lieu of your personal home base you may alternatively use the Braves Stadium as home.

Wanderer level: Hit a single! 

Find 1 cache that is hidden in a projection from 45° to 135° from your home.

Or

Get walked. Find 4 caches with the “short hike” attribute

Seeker level: Hit a double!

Find 4 caches! 2 at the projection from 45°-135° and 2 caches from the 135°-225° projections.

Explorer level: Hit a triple!

Find 9 caches - 3 at the projection of 45°-135°, 3 from 135°-225°, and 3 from 225°-315°

Adventurer level - Hit a home run!

Find 5 at the projection of 45°-135°, 5 from 135°-225°, and 5 from 225°-315° and 5 from 315°-45°!

Bonus options - 

  • You may use your Mega extra bonus points for the Adventurer level to substitute one cache per "base"
  • You may substitute one of any projection by pitching a strike out - find 3 caches that are each either a 3D or a 3T

Send your proof of completion to ggachallenges2021@gmail.com by the deadline to earn your points and chances in the drawing! Include the following details in your email (if you are attaching a bookmark list, please make sure that the list is public):

  • Your geo-nick
  • Your real name
  • The level for which you qualify
  • Your qualifying caches with dates found
  • Please tell me if you earned any bonus points.
