Come join us as we clean up the trail around part of the pond. Comfortable shoes, bug spray and hydration are recommended. If you have a grabber you may want to bring it. Grassy Pond is located just west of Lake Park GA. There is a $5 parking fee.

Sunday, April 18, 2021:

GC97XCR - GGA CITO MONTH - Panola Mountain State Park

Date/Time: Sunday, 4/18/21 from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm

Event: Meet us at the Nature Center/Park Office at Panola Mountain State Park to begin our volunteer trash pick up program. We will be focusing on the paved portion of the PATH inside the park unless otherwise directed. The park will provide trash bags and bottled water. We ask that you bring gloves and trash grabbers and wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Sun screen and bug spray may be useful as well. While face masks are not required, they are recommended as is the practice of social distancing. We look forward to meeting new friends and seeing old ones as well. Please leave a "will attend" log so we can get a good head count for the event.

Additional: There is a $5 parking fee required to enter the park unless you have a State Park Pass. Be sure to check out the Parks  event calendar as this park offers activities such as tree climbing lessons, archery, nature walks and more. 

Bonuses: Earn the CITO 2021 Season 1 souvenir by attending a CITO event through August 31st. There is a State Park Tour geocache here. Additionally, attendance at any GGA event automatically makes you a member of the GGA, which is the oldest active geocaching organization in the world!

When: April 24th from 10:30 am to 11:30 pm

What: April is CITO month and the GGA is hosting several events around the state. This event will be at the largest of Doraville's 7 parks, Honeysuckle Park.

Event: Meet us in the parking area in front of Forest Fleming Arena to begin our volunteer trash pick up program. We will provide trash bags and bottled water; please bring your own gloves, bug spray, sun screen, etc. Face masks are recommended but not mandated in Georgia but they may also help you avoid breathing in excessive pollen, annoying outdoor mold and the occasional small bug. 

We look forward to meeting new friends and seeing old ones as well. Please (!!!) leave a "Will Attend" log so we can get a good head count for the event.

NOTE - Should the trash pick up cause empty, rumbling bellies, adjacent Buford Highway offers literally any cuisine you may desire mere moments away from this park.

When: Sunday, April 25th from 9:00 am to 10:00 am

What: April is CITO month and the GGA is hosting numerous events around the state.  Today we will be helping to beautify one of Gwinnett County's parks. ????????????

Event: Meet us in the main parking area at the front of the park before we set out to pick up trash around the lake trail and the wooded area near the front of the park.  We will provide trash bags and bottled water.  Please bring your own gloves, trash pickers, bug spray, sun screen, etc.  Face masks and social distancing are recommended but not mandated.  We will be in the midst of full Spring pollen so the masks may prevent you from inhaling texcessive amounts of the stuff!!! ????????????

We look forward to meeting new friends and seeing old ones as well. Please log  a "Will Attend" log so we can have a good head count for the event.

NOTE - This will be a rain or shine event (unless there is lightning). ??????
