GGA Challenge #20 - The Roaring 20's!

  • Challenge Period: Monday 9/27/21 to Sunday 10/10/21
  • Deadline for Submitting Proof: Wednesday 10/13/21 by 11:59 pm
  • Points Apply to: October drawing with prizes awarded at the November event

It's October in Georgia and you know what that means! It's time for Georgia's first and oldest mega, Going Caching!! The theme is the Roaring 20's and this is the 20th challenge so it seemed to make sense to make that the theme for this challenge.

Wanderer level: Find 3 caches. One must have a 2 in its GC code and one must have a 0 in its GC code. The third must be a cache that's up to you, but explain to us how it fits into the theme. (Is it an event? Does it have lots of favorite points? Is it about prohibition or flappers?These are just some options! Going Caching is known for its creativity, so show some of yours when explaining how your third cache counts!)

Seeker level: Find a cache with 2 and a cache with 0 in the GC codes and spell out the word ROAR with either caches beginning with those letters or having those letters in GC codes! (0 may be substituted for O in the GC code spelling option!). OR Spell out the word TWENTY with caches that have those letters in the GC codes.

Explorer level: Find 10 caches that spell out ROARING 20s with either the first letter in the title or having those letters in the GC code (again, may substitute 0 for O”)

Adventurer level - Find 20 caches! Spell ROARING 20s MEGA IN ROME! with the first letter of cache or having each letter in a GC code. (May substitute 0 for O). Must be a minimum of 6 cache types.

Bonus options - Available for all levels. Each bonus can only be used once.

  • You may substitute 2 caches by using your Mega bonus points that you earned at JCAT.
  • You may earn 3 extra Mega bonus points by stopping by the GGA booth at Going Caching and taking a picture in front of the backdrop.
  • If you unable to attend Going Caching and/or could not attend the JCAT mega, you may substitute up to 3 caches by coming up with 3 creative and attainable square ideas for an upcoming bingo GGA challenge.

Send your proof of completion to ggachallenges2021@gmail.com by the deadline to earn your points and chances in the drawing! Include the following details in your email (if you are attaching a bookmark list, please make sure that the list is public):

  • Your geo-nick
  • Your real name
  • The level for which you qualify
  • Your qualifying caches with dates found
  • Please tell me if you earned any bonus points.
