GGA Challenge #19 - Swamp Things

Get out your bug spray and waders as we are heading to the swamp! The Georgia State Parks Geotour divides the state into four regions (Mountains, Lakes, Plains and Swamp). In the Swamp region which is located in Southeast Georgia, there are caches at eleven State Parks. There are many species of wildlife that inhabit the swamp and may even serve as cache guardians. Your challenge this period will entail searching for caches that contain the name of specific wildlife in their title. 

Word List: You may use the singular or plural version of any of these words

  • Alligator
  • Bear
  • Beaver
  • Bird
  • Duck
  • Deer
  • Duck
  • Fish
  • Frog
  • Heron
  • Owl
  • Raccoon
  • Snake
  • Turtle
  • Swamp
  • Thing

Wanderer level: Find 3 caches with wildlife names from the list provided. 

Seeker level: Find 6 caches with wildlife names from the list provided.. .

Explorer level: Find 12 caches with wildlife names from the list provided.

Adventurer level - Find 24 caches with wildlife names from the list provided. 

Bonus options - Available for all levels. Each bonus can only be used once.

  • You may substitute 2 caches by finding a cache with the "may require wading, dangerous animal or poisonous plant" attributes. The wildlife name does not need to be included in the title for this bonus option.
  • You may substitute 2 caches by getting another player who hasn't played yet to join in the Challenges.
  • You may substitute 3 caches by finding any of the State Park Challenge caches from the Swamp region

Send your proof of completion to ggachallenges2021@gmail.com by the deadline to earn your points and chances in the drawing! Include the following details in your email (if you are attaching a bookmark list, please make sure that the list is public):

  • Your geo-nick
  • Your real name
  • The level for which you qualify
  • Your qualifying caches with dates found
  • Please tell me if you earned any bonus points.
