GGA Challenge #14 - Dog Days of Summer!

  • Challenge Period: Monday 7/5/21 to Sunday 7/19/21
  • Deadline for Submitting Proof: Wednesday 7/21/21 by 11:59 pm
  • Points Apply to: August drawing with prizes to be awarded at the August event

So we are getting to the time of year that people refer to as the dog days of summer! Time to go find some caches that may keep you a little cooler, whether that be in the shade of a tree, available by boat, or an event in a cool place! Make sure to hydrate well and bring your sunscreen!

For this period, we are going to do a spelling challenge!

 

Wanderer level - Find caches that begin with the letters spelling DOG!

Seeker level - Find caches that begin with the letters spelling DOG DAYS!

Explorer level - Find caches that begin with the letters spelling DOG DAYS OF SUMMER!

Adventurer level - Find caches that begin with the letters spelling DOG DAYS OF SUMMER + find 5 caches that have the Dogs Allowed attribute. (A total of 20 caches, you cannot double dip - that's only good for ice cream!)

 

Bonus options: Available for all levels. 

  • You may substitute up to 3 letters with caches that have the Dogs Allowed attribute.
  • You may also substitute 3 caches by attending the July GGA event on 7/10 at Mistletoe State Park (GC9CYVJ)! This means you can reach the Wanderer Level just by coming to the event!

Send your proof of completion to ggachallenges2021@gmail.com by the deadline to earn your points and chances in the August drawing! Include the following details in your email (if you are attaching a bookmark list, please make sure that the list is public):

  • Your geo-nick
  • Your real name
  • The level for which you qualify
  • Your qualifying caches with dates found
  • Please tell me if you earned any bonus points.
