Meeting notes: April 12, 2003

Greetings to all.

On April 12 the Georgia Geocachers Association held its 23rd meeting at South Rockdale Park with 14 regulars and one new member in attendance. We discussed planning for a GGA 2003 Geocaching Challenge event and decided it would be best to schedule the event for the fall. There are several other events coming up soon, and it will not be possible to do all of the necessary planning before we are into the heat of summer.

A new topic has been established in the member area of the GGA discussion board for use by the members planning for the event. If you would like to participate in the planning, post a note on the discussion board or let a steering committee member know, and you will be given access to that topic area.

Erik led a discussion of the upcoming Cache In/Trash Out event otherwise known as the GGA Earth Day Park Clean Up. This event will be held on April 26; see the event cache page at:

Steven led a discussion on recent FCC rulings on the position to position sending feature provided in some Garmin Rino units. These devices have some very interesting application possibilities.
